Men End Regular Season With Win Over Culinary Institute

POUGHKIPSEE, N.Y. – The Vaughn College men's basketball team defeated Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (HVIAC) opponent, Culinary Institute, 76-41 on Saturday, February 14. This was the last regular season game for the Warriors. The win brings the Warriors to 4-2 in conference play, solidifying a post season playoff spot in the HVIAC conference championships.

Five Warriors scored double figures in the game. Moises Chaucer (Bronx, NY) and Isiah Reed (Brooklyn, NY) both posted double-doubles. Chaucer finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Reed finished with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Maleec Taylor (Rockville Centre, NY) and Michael Pena chipped in 11 points apiece. Tawanto Snead jr.  (Detroit, MI) added 10 points.

The Warriors end the season with a 13-12 overall record. They will play St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) in the HVIAC semi-finals on Saturday, February 21, at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. The game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
