Men’s Basketball Extends Win Streak to Four Games

QUEENS, N.Y. – The Vaughn College men's basketball team defeated Landmark College on Friday, February 6, to extend their win streak to four games. This marks the longest win streak for the Warriors this season. The Warriors got off to a fast start and was able to put the game out of reach in the first half. They held Landmark to 36 percent shooting in the first half and 25 percent shooting in the second half. For the second game in a row, the Warriors held their opponent to under 50 points in the entire game.

The Warriors had a season high seven players score double digits in the contest. Sophomore guard Willis Prezzy (Ridgewood, NY) led everyone in scoring with 18 points. Rashad Luckett (Chicago, IL) and Elvin Polanco (New York, NY) added 12 points apiece. Moises Chaucer (Bronx, NY), Maleec Taylor (Rockville Centre, NY), and Michael Pena (Dumont, NJ) each chipped in 11 points. Tawanto Snead Jr. (Detroit, MI) added 10 points in the game.

The men's basketball team will face the NHTI Lynx on Saturday, February 7, in a rematch game from earlier in the season. The game will be played at the Elmcor Recreation Center at 3:30 p.m.
