Warriors Bounce Back against Cooper Union

QUEENS, N.Y. - The Warriors men's basketball team faced Cooper Union in their homecoming game on Thursday, November 20. The Warriors headed into the game with a three game losing streak, desperately trying to get back in the win column.

During the team's three game skid, the Warriors averaged five assists per game and have been out-rebounded by their opponents. Before the game started, Head Coach Ricky McCollum placed a strong emphasis for his team to move the ball on offense and to box out on defense. The Warriors responded to coach McCollum's message as they dished out 13 assists in the game and dominated Cooper Union on the boards.

The Warriors defeated Cooper Union 93-36. Everyone was able to participate in the game and register points in the box score. Willis Prezzy (Ridgewood, NY) scored a game high 19 points and dished out four assists. Desean Attles (East Elmhurst, NY) scored 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds.  Tawanto Snead Jr. (Detroit, MI), Dashawn Johnson (Queens, NY), and Anthony Bligen (Harlem, NY) each chipped in eight points.

The Warriors next game will be against New School at the Elmcor Recreation Center. The game is scheduled to be played on Saturday, November 22, at 2 p.m.
