The Warrior Award is presented to the student-athlete who encompasses all aspects of a Warrior.  A Vaughn Warrior overcomes every obstacle and continues to seek new heights in their ability to lead their team in competition on the Varsity level.  Vaughn's Warrior recipient maintains at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average while participation in collegiate sports and continuously demonstrates the values of sportsmanship, leadership, and team play.

This year's winner, Jared Ndiba, was a member of the men's Basketball team and a team captain.  This year's winner also led the team in scoring and three point field goals made.  He was also named to the Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference All-Conference Team during the 2011-2012 season.  This year's recipient is a true gentleman and epitomizes the meaning of a student-athlete. Congratulations to Jared Ndiba on receiving the first ever Warrior Award.
